SJA’s mission is to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety, and quality of life by providing training and community service.

This event is organized to increase the number of Barrie residents trained to recognize and respond to sudden cardiac arrest and airway emergencies. With every minute that passes while a casualty is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, up to 10% chance of survival decreases. The early recognition of a cardiac emergency, starting immediate CPR combined with the use of a defibrillator can increase chances of survival.

The hands-on training will teach participants adult, child, and infant CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and what to do when someone is choking. This clinic is proudly sponsored by St. John Ambulance and the Rotary Club of Barrie.
