Barrie Airshow

The City of Barrie, the Canadian Forces Base Borden, the County of Simcoe, and the
Downtown Barrie BIA officially announced the return of the Barrie Airshow, presented by Pratt Homes,
at a media event on Tuesday, April 18.

With a de-commissioned Canadian Forces Snowbirds Tutor jet and a de-commissioned CF-18 Hornet
as the backdrop, Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall officially announced that the free show will be returning to
Barrie’s Kempenfelt Bay on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday June 11.

“Fun programming will be taking place all weekend long including the Downtown Barrie BIA’s first
Open Air Dunlop of the season, CFB Borden’s kiddie commando course and static displays, live music
at Meridian Place, and a free screening of Top Gun: Maverick at Meridian Place,” commented Mayor
Nuttall. “The economic impact major events like the Barrie Airshow have on our community is massive,
we are honored to be hosting the event once again.”

Iconic Canadian aircraft and demonstration teams will be taking to the skies including the Canadian
Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron), the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks
Parachute Team, a CF-18 tactical demonstration, and the Northern Stars Aeroteam.

The 2023 Barrie Airshow, presented by Pratt Homes, is supported by the Canadian Forces Base
Borden, the County of Simcoe, the Downtown Barrie BIA and event sponsors.
