To ensure a successful 2019 campaign, Barrie and District Christmas Cheer will be hosting their seventh annual charity golf tournament on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.
Christmas may not be the first thing on everyone’s mind, but board members of Barrie and District Christmas Cheer are working year round to make sure they have the $250,000 they need in order to provide a Christmas to those in need; and they have just five short months to do so.
The seventh annual Christmas Cheer golf tournament, graciously sponsored by Mortgage Sense Inc., is the kick-off event to the fundraising season for a campaign that helps provide toys to children and a week’s worth of food to over 1750 families in Barrie and area at Christmas time.
A traditional Christmas dinner will be served at the tournament, alongside a silent auction with all proceeds going to Christmas Cheer, which will assist in providing food and toy hampers to Barrie and area families in need this December. This event will run from 10 A.M to 8 P.M. at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club, 4730 Side Rd 25, Thornton, ON, L0L 2N0.
