Police called to apartment building in Waterloo for firearms-related incident

Waterloo Regional Police say they are continuing to investigate a disturbance at an apartment complex on Hickory Street in Waterloo.

A police spokesperson said the Emergency Response Team was called to the building over a firearms-related incident.

Upon arrival, police say that a search of the residence did not turn up any firearms.

A woman was arrested at the building in an unrelated matter.

Some streets in the area were reportedly closed.
