Selling 5 million tickets worldwide and described by The Times as “The Gold Standard” and The Daily Mirror as “The Kings of the Genre”, The Australian Pink Floyd Show gave its first ever concert in Adelaide, Australia in 1988. Since then, they have performed in over 35 countries worldwide; played at David Gilmour’s 50th birthday celebration and were even joined on stage by Rick Wright. TAPFS is the leading and biggest show of its kind in the world.

Performing the music of Pink Floyd with note for note perfection, this critically acclaimed tribute show has been astonishing audiences worldwide. Striving to reproduce the Pink Floyd experience and bring the music to new audiences, the show continues to include a stunning light and laser show, video animations, state of the art high resolution LED screen technology and other special effects. To accompany these visuals are several large inflatables including a giant pig and their own distinct Pink Kangaroo.

They have also worked with musicians like Guy Pratt, Durga McBroom and her sister Lorelei McBroom who have toured with Pink Floyd, as well as sound engineer Colin Norfield who worked with Pink Floyd during their ‘Division Bell’ tour and on David Gilmour’s solo tours.

Often described as being more than a tribute band, The Australian Pink Floyd Show is the first Pink Floyd tribute show that took the concept out of the pubs and onto the worldwide arena circuit. The band has played to sell out audiences throughout Europe, UK, America, Canada, South America, Israel and Russia.

With 30 years of history, the world’s biggest, best and greatest Pink Floyd tribute show continues to delight its global fan base.

“Setting the gold standard” – The Times

“For the record TAPFS are a phenomenon to be witnessed live… It’s almost enough to make you forget you haven’t been watching Pink Floyd, but a surrogate band” – Prog

“Probably the most popular tribute band in the world” – Sunday Times ‘Culture’
NEW FOR 2018 – 30th ANNIVERSARY TOUR

When a group of five young guys from Adelaide got together to play Pink Floyd songs for their own enjoyment in a rented school room in 1988 little did they suspect that the project that was to become “The Australian Pink Floyd Show” (also known as Aussie Floyd by their numerous fans) would be filling arenas around the world 30 years later.

During the late 1980s the tribute band scene was a new phenomenon and few tribute bands were in existence at the time; the prospect of a group devoted to reproducing, note for note, and sound for sound, the music of Pink Floyd, seemed to be such an ambitious venture that few people really believed at the time it could be done.
It wasn’t long however, before they gained a local reputation which lead to an invitation came to play in the UK at Wembley in 1993. It seemed too good an opportunity to ignore and so, leaving friends, family and possessions behind the guys flew to England on a one way ticket hoping to earn the money to return a few months later. For years they could not afford to return to Australia and instead were living hand to mouth, touring in a white van and lugging their own equipment around every night. Sustained by the enthusiasm of the increasing crowds, meeting David Gilmore, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from Pink Floyd, they started in pubs moving upward to theatres and eventually to arenas in the UK and beyond.  The Australian Pink Floyd Show has forged a unique reputation on the international touring circuit throughout North America and Europe.

The music of Pink Floyd itself spans a period of nearly thirty years, so celebrating thirty years of TAPFS seemed significant.  TAPFS is one of the oldest and longest running tribute shows in the world and certainly the most famous. The term ‘tribute band’ is no longer really applicable because the stunning visual production and the attention to the sound and details of the music have made the show one of the hottest tickets on the music scene today in its own right. The Australian Pink Floyd Show has made numerous TV appearances, been the subject of articles and reviews in prestigious newspapers such as The Times and The Guardian, music magazines, documentaries and have even been referenced in several books about Pink Floyd.  Such is the reputation of the group, which now consists of a ten piece band, that it has attracted a dedicated and sometimes obsessive fan base from all over the world.

The celebration of thirty years of performing the glorious music of Pink Floyd, The Australian Pink Floyd Show will present a tour entitled “Time”, one of the best known songs from the iconic album Dark Side of The Moon during which they will perform music from all periods of Floyd’s career. The spectacular live show, features state of the art lighting effects, lasers, specially designed imagery and animation projected onto a huge round screen, coupled with inflatables and of course the ten piece band of superb musicians and vocalists themselves resulting in an evening which promises to be a must see event for Pink Floyd fans and lovers of music in general. It will be remembered fondly by the audiences long after the last note has rung out.
