The Georgian Bay Garden Tour is now held annually on the fourth Saturday of July. ​ Broadly encompassing properties in Midland, Penetanguishene, and the Townships of Tay and Tiny, we focus each year on a few geographic areas with clusters of multiple gardens for a streamlined tour.

Experience four unforgettable days of summer fun at the new Wasaga BeachLife Festival and Midway. From July 23-26, enjoy live entertainment, exciting midway rides, games, and family-friendly activities along the beachfront, with performances from crowd favourites including The Carpet Frogs and Jukebox Heroes. From paddleboarding and beach yoga to sunset rides and music under the stars, the festival captures the energy, nostalgia, and laid-back spirit of summer in Wasaga Beach.

The 11th Annual Mind to Muscle Cup takes place on Tuesday, July 21, at 6pm at Allandale Rec Centre. This year’s event will feature elite local hockey talent, including players from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, Finnish Liiga, DEL, NCAA, and USPORTS, in a fast-paced and competitive game.  We are proud to be partnering with Purolator, Domino’s, 4Hundred Source for Sports, and the Barrie Colts to help drive awareness, collect donations, and create a fun community event for families in Barrie.

This is a live comedy event. Performances will feature unfiltered content, including mature themes and potentially offensive language.

The Salvation Army in Orillia provides a food hamper right before the Christmas holiday, so that families can enjoy a special meal together. Included are all the fixings for a turkey dinner, such as fresh potatoes, carrots, onions and apples, and canned goods.  There is enough for more than one meal. Parents and Guardians can “shop” in our gym where we set up hundreds of toys for all ages, so children can have some gifts to open during the holidays.
