Simcoe County Alzheimer’s Society: Oma’s Ride

Oma’s ride is a charity ride is inspired by Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County CEO Ann-Marie Kungl’s Oma. Ann-Marie, together with sister Jenny and brother Ben and their families aim to celebrate her legacy through this fundraiser, while raising money towards community programs that support individuals living with dementia and their care partners across Simcoe County.

The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County’s inaugural OMA’s RIDE hits the road in Oro-Medonte, Severn and Muskoka on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024! Join the Alzheimer’s Society as they tour the countryside!

The Barrie Colts Foundation and in partnership with Quayle’s Brewery will be sponsors of the first first charity bike ride event with 20km, 50km and 100km route options. The event begins and ends at Quayle’s Brewery in Coldwater. The first riders (100km) hit the road at 8 a.m.

There’s something for everyone! Bring the family and enjoy a day at Quayle’s cheering on riders and connecting with our staff.

This fundraising event will support the Society in creating more access across Simcoe County to programs and services for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and their care partners.
