The Orillia O.P.P. Auxiliary Unit is partnering with the Orillia Salvation Army once again in Orillia for a Christmas in July Toy Drive Saturday July 12th from 10am – 2pm at the Orillia Walmart.
The Salvation Army is looking to get ahead on stocking their shelves for the upcoming Christmas season as they served over 600 families food and toys this past Christmas and expect that demand will grow this year.
Assistance during the Holidays
We provide a food hamper right before the Christmas holiday, so that families can enjoy a special meal together. Included are all the fixings for a turkey dinner, canned foods, fresh potatoes, carrots, onions and apples. There is enough for more than one meal.
Parents and Guardians can “shop” in our gym where we set up hundreds of toys for all ages, so children can have some gifts to open during the holidays.
Christmas Food hampers distributed in 2024: 635
Number of children who received toys in 2024: 1122
